Key Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of basic analytical tests on diverse samples, strictly adhering to established standard operating procedures (SOPs), industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate various laboratory instruments and equipment, ensuring their optimal performance and readiness for testing.
• Accurately prepare samples for analysis, including weighing, diluting, extracting, and other preparatory steps as required by specific test methods.
• Record, document, and manage all test results and associated data meticulously, ensuring data integrity and traceability in laboratory notebooks and digital systems.
• Conduct routine quality control checks, including running blanks, standards, and duplicates, to verify the accuracy and reliability of analytical data.
• Identify and report any deviations, non-conformances, or anomalies in test results or procedures to the Lab Manager promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory workspace, adhering to all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
• Assist with the management of laboratory consumables and reagents, including monitoring inventory levels and assisting with ordering and stocking.
• Participate in laboratory equipment troubleshooting and routine maintenance activities under guidance.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of laboratory processes and procedures by providing feedback and suggestions.
• Ensure all duties are completed accurately, with high quality, and delivered in a timely manner to meet project deadlines and operational targets.

Requirements & Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or a related scientific field is highly preferred.
• Previous experience in a laboratory setting, whether academic or industrial, is a significant advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to perform routine laboratory tests with precision and accuracy.
• Capable of working effectively and productively under close supervision, following detailed instructions and protocols.
• Strong commitment to producing high-quality, reliable results and maintaining data integrity.
• Proven ability to manage time effectively and complete assigned duties in a timely manner to meet operational deadlines.
• Must be able to fulfill the responsibilities of an Individual Contributor within a team-oriented environment.
• Understanding and acceptance of the Non-exempt classification and Regular Full-Time employment status.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and safely handle various laboratory chemicals and materials with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
