Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide variety of vehicles, including small passenger cars, SUVs, and 4-wheel drive vehicles.
- Execute routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and filter replacements with precision and efficiency.
- Conduct complex mechanical repairs, including engine overhauls, transmission servicing, brake system repairs, suspension work, and electrical system diagnostics and repair.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment and specialized tools, including our 18 hoists, computerized wheel alignment machine, and tyre fitting machine, to ensure accurate and effective service.
- Adhere strictly to manufacturer specifications, industry best practices, and safety standards to guarantee the highest quality and reliability of all repairs.
- Maintain meticulous records of all services performed, parts used, and time spent on each job, ensuring transparency and accuracy for both the company and the customer.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers, explaining diagnostic findings, recommended repairs, and estimated costs in a clear and understandable manner.
- Collaborate proactively with a close-knit team of fellow technicians, sharing knowledge, assisting with complex issues, and fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of your workstation and contribute to the overall tidiness and safety of the workshop.
- Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies, repair techniques, and industry trends through continuous learning and professional development.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a qualified Automotive Mechanic or Vehicle Technician, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of vehicle systems and repair procedures.
- Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in Automotive Mechanical Technology from a recognized institution.
- Proficiency in performing a broad spectrum of mechanical repairs, from routine servicing to complex diagnostics and system overhauls across various vehicle makes and models, particularly small cars and 4WDs.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong diagnostic skills, with the ability to accurately identify mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced workshop environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a meticulous attention to detail.
