The DevOps Engineer will be instrumental in overseeing, enhancing, and optimizing the infrastructure, processes, and tools that underpin our cutting-edge software applications. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage robust and scalable infrastructure solutions, primarily within cloud environments, to support our growing suite of applications and services.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to automate software builds, testing, and deployments, ensuring rapid and reliable delivery of new features and updates.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to integrate best practices for code quality, security, and performance throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure the health, performance, and availability of our production systems, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
- Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, utilizing tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to provision and manage infrastructure in an automated, repeatable, and version-controlled manner.
- Manage and optimize containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes, to improve application portability, scalability, and resource utilization.
- Ensure the security and compliance of our infrastructure and applications by implementing security best practices, vulnerability management, and access controls.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide timely incident response and troubleshooting for production issues, minimizing downtime and impact.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation across development and operations workflows, driving efficiency and reducing manual effort.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, processes, and tools, ensuring knowledge transfer and operational continuity.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices in DevOps, cloud computing, and automation, recommending and implementing relevant solutions.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions, providing expertise on scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or a similar role, with a strong focus on automation and infrastructure management.
- Demonstrable experience with major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their associated services.
- Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Proficiency with containerization technologies, including Docker; experience with Kubernetes orchestration is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding and practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and system administration tasks.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Working knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancing, Firewalls) and security best practices.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk).
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
