The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, a premier outdoor amphitheater located in The Woodlands, Texas, is seeking dedicated and experienced Law Enforcement Officers to join our team on a contract basis. This critical role is instrumental in facilitating all aspects of venue security, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for our diverse array of guests, staff, performing artists, and the general public during events. As an Event Law Enforcement Officer, you will be on the front lines, contributing directly to the success and safety of every concert, festival, and community gathering held at our world-class facility.

You will be an integral part of our event operations, working within a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires quick thinking, effective communication, and a calm demeanor under pressure. Key Responsibilities
- Actively participate in pre-event briefings, taking precise direction from the Law Enforcement Lead to thoroughly understand and properly implement the comprehensive event security plan, including specific assignments and protocols.
- Execute comprehensive traffic management strategies both inside and outside the venue perimeter, ensuring smooth ingress and egress for vehicles, facilitating orderly parking, and minimizing congestion to enhance guest experience and emergency access.
- Implement robust crowd control measures across all areas of the venue, including entry points, seating sections, concourses, and stage areas, to maintain order, prevent overcrowding, and respond effectively to any disturbances.
- Maintain a highly visible and professional presence throughout the venue before, during, and after events, serving as a deterrent to unlawful activities and a resource for guests and staff.
- Proactively observe guests and surroundings for any suspicious activities, potential threats, or behavioral indicators that may compromise safety or violate venue policies, and report findings to the appropriate command staff.
- Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, emergencies, and disturbances within the venue, including medical emergencies, altercations, lost persons, and security breaches, adhering strictly to established protocols and engaging with emergency services as necessary.
- Enforce all venue rules and regulations, as well as applicable local, state, and federal laws, ensuring a respectful and secure environment for all attendees and personnel.
- Provide exceptional customer service and assistance to guests, offering directions, answering questions, and resolving minor issues with a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Collaborate effectively with other security personnel, venue staff, emergency medical services, and external law enforcement agencies to ensure a coordinated and unified approach to event safety and security.
- Complete detailed incident reports and documentation for all significant events, observations, and actions taken, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping for post-event analysis and legal compliance.
- Participate in post-event security sweeps and ensure the safe and orderly departure of all guests, staff, and artists.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Possession of current and valid Law Enforcement Officer certification from a recognized state or federal authority.
- Proven experience in law enforcement, public safety, or security roles, ideally with prior experience in event security, crowd management, or large public gatherings.
- Demonstrated ability to take direction and effectively implement complex event plans and security protocols.
- Excellent observational skills and a keen eye for detail to identify potential risks or issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with diverse groups of people, including guests, staff, and external agencies.
- Ability to remain calm, composed, and effective in high-pressure situations and emergency scenarios.
- Physical stamina and ability to stand, walk, and respond rapidly for extended periods, often in varying weather conditions.
- Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as dictated by the event calendar.
- A valid state-issued driver's license.
- Successful completion of a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
