About This Role
Ingeus is seeking dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses to join our dynamic team as Functional Nurse Assessors. This unique opportunity offers a truly balanced approach to leveraging your invaluable clinical expertise, moving beyond traditional patient-facing roles into a more structured, yet highly impactful assessment environment. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in evaluating how various health conditions and disabilities affect an individual's daily living and functional capabilities. - Gather, analyse, and interpret complex medical evidence, patient histories, and self-reported information to form well-reasoned and objective conclusions.
- Produce clear, concise, and defensible assessment reports that meticulously detail functional limitations and provide expert clinical opinion.
- Engage with claimants in a professional, empathetic, and sensitive manner, ensuring a positive, respectful, and understanding assessment experience for all individuals.
- Maintain strict adherence to professional codes of conduct, data protection regulations (GDPR), and all company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively and professionally with a multidisciplinary team to ensure consistent quality, best practices, and continuous improvement in assessment delivery.
- Continuously develop and update professional knowledge regarding a wide range of health conditions, disabilities, and relevant legislation and guidelines.
- Manage a caseload efficiently and effectively, ensuring the timely completion of all assessments and reports within established service level agreements and targets.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Full and unrestricted registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a Registered General Nurse (RGN), Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN), or Registered Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD).
- A minimum of 2 years post-registration clinical experience in a diverse range of healthcare settings, demonstrating broad clinical exposure and expertise.
- Demonstrable experience in applying robust clinical judgement to assess and understand complex health conditions and their impact.
- Possess the unrestricted right to work in the UK, as sponsorship is not available for this role.
- Ability to commit to a hybrid working model: 3 days per week based at one of our modern Assessment Centres across London or Essex, and 2 days per week working remotely from home.
- Proficiency in using various IT systems for accurate documentation, detailed report writing, and effective remote communication.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex medical information clearly, concisely, and empathetically to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, essential for interpreting complex medical evidence and forming objective conclusions.
