About This Role

BIX Produce is seeking a dedicated and professional Local Class B CDL Refrigerated Delivery Driver to join our growing team. This is a full-time, W2 Company Driver position, operating solo on established local routes. As a crucial part of our logistics, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation and delivery of temperature-sensitive specialty produce, dairy, and other food products to our valued customers. This role is ideal for a driver who thrives in a day shift environment, enjoys consistent local routes, and values being home daily. You will play a vital role in upholding BIX Produce’s reputation for timely and quality service, engaging directly with our customers as a front-line representative of our brand.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a Class B commercial vehicle safely and efficiently on local, dedicated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
• Execute 100% driver load and unload duties, including the physical handling of bulk and pre-cut produce, dairy, and other food items, ensuring proper product care during loading and unloading.
• Maintain precise temperature control within the refrigerated unit to preserve the quality and freshness of all perishable goods during transit.
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and refrigeration unit, documenting any issues and ensuring equipment is in safe operating condition.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to a variety of service operators, following specified delivery schedules and customer instructions.
• Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, interacting professionally and courteously with clients and addressing any immediate concerns.
• Accurately complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery manifests, logbooks, and inspection reports, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and company procedures.
• Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety standards, prioritizing safety for yourself, your cargo, and the public.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle interior and exterior.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Proven experience as a Company Driver (W2 employment) with solo driving capabilities.
• Demonstrated experience with refrigerated transport and understanding of temperature-controlled logistics.
• Ability to perform 100% driver load and unload duties, involving regular lifting, pushing, and pulling of products weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Availability to work a consistent day shift schedule.
• Commitment to a 5 days on, 2 days off work schedule, ensuring reliable attendance.
• Clean driving record with no major violations.
• Current DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one prior to employment.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality are essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction.
• Ability to navigate local routes efficiently and safely.
