Key Responsibilities
- Conduct innovative research under the direct supervision and mentorship of a senior researcher or artist, contributing meaningfully to ongoing projects within an existing research group.
- Actively participate in the design, implementation, and evaluation of novel algorithms, systems, and prototypes that address complex technical challenges relevant to Disney's diverse portfolio.
- Perform comprehensive literature reviews to stay abreast of the latest advancements in relevant research fields and identify new opportunities for innovation.
- Develop and implement experimental setups, collect and analyze data, and interpret results to draw robust conclusions and inform project direction.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, sharing insights, receiving feedback, and contributing to a supportive and productive research atmosphere.
- Document research findings thoroughly, including methodology, results, and conclusions, preparing technical reports and presentations for internal review.
- Contribute to the preparation of research papers for submission to top-tier academic conferences and journals, showcasing the impact of your work.

Requirements & Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Master's or Ph.D. program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Graphics, or a related technical field.
- Demonstrated strong academic record and a genuine passion for research and innovation.
- Proven ability to work effectively under the supervision of a senior researcher or artist, taking initiative while also being receptive to guidance.
- Capacity to integrate seamlessly as an active and contributing member of an existing research group.
- Availability to commit to a full-time internship for a duration of 3 to 4 months.
- Eligibility to work in Zurich, Switzerland for the entire internship period.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal, as it is the primary work language for all communication and documentation.
- Solid foundational knowledge in at least one relevant research area (e.g., machine learning, computer vision, robotics, human-computer interaction, physics-based simulation).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or similar, with experience in relevant libraries and frameworks.
