  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and review of clinical policies, procedures, and best practices within the hospital.
  • Engage effectively and empathetically with pet owners, often in sensitive situations, providing clear communication, support, and education regarding their pets' health and welfare.
  • Participate actively in the hospital's permanent, full-time rota, ensuring comprehensive veterinary coverage and support.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and up-to-date clinical records using our practice management system.
  • Actively promote the values and mission of Blue Cross, both internally and externally.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Possess significant post-qualification experience as a Veterinary Surgeon, demonstrating strong clinical acumen across various disciplines (medicine, surgery, diagnostics).
  • Proven experience in a senior veterinary role, or a clear track record of leadership potential and a strong desire to develop management skills within a clinical setting.
  • Demonstrable proficiency in a wide range of surgical procedures and advanced diagnostic interpretation.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development (CPD) and staying abreast of the latest veterinary advancements.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
