In this role, you will serve as a primary technical expert and trusted advisor to our diverse client base across Europe and Africa. You will be instrumental in identifying client needs, articulating the value proposition of Core Laboratories' advanced technologies, and developing tailored solutions that address complex challenges in reservoir characterization, production enhancement, and ultimately, reservoir performance optimization. This position is at the forefront of our commitment to serving the growing needs of the energy transition while continuing to fulfill the demand for reliable and efficient energy resources. You will work closely with sales, R&D, and operational teams to ensure seamless delivery of our innovative solutions, fostering strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical consulting, guidance, and support to clients on Core Laboratories' comprehensive suite of reservoir optimization services and products across the Europe & Africa regions.
- Lead technical discussions, presentations, and workshops for clients, demonstrating the value and application of our proprietary technologies in enhancing reservoir performance.
- Collaborate with sales and business development teams to identify new opportunities, prepare technical proposals, and support the entire sales cycle with in-depth technical knowledge.
- Conduct detailed analysis of reservoir data, geological models, and production scenarios to recommend optimal strategies for reservoir description, development, and production enhancement.
- Act as a liaison between clients and Core Laboratories' R&D and product development teams, translating market needs and client feedback into actionable insights for continuous innovation.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes, particularly concerning reservoir management, EOR techniques, and the broader energy transition landscape in the target regions.
- Develop and maintain strong technical relationships with key decision-makers, engineers, geoscientists, and management within client organizations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges faced by clients, ensuring the successful implementation and optimal performance of Core Laboratories' solutions.
- Represent Core Laboratories at industry conferences, seminars, and technical forums, presenting papers and showcasing our capabilities to a wider audience.
- Contribute to the development of technical documentation, case studies, and training materials for internal teams and external clients.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Petroleum Engineering, Geology, Geophysics, or a closely related scientific or engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering, petrophysics, production geology, or a similar upstream oil and gas technical role.
- Demonstrable experience working within or extensively with clients in the Europe and/or Africa regions is highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of reservoir characterization techniques, fluid flow in porous media, well testing, production logging, and enhanced oil recovery (EOR) methods.
- Proficiency in relevant industry software for reservoir modeling, simulation, and data analysis.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and to act as a trusted technical advisor.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset to identify and address client challenges effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a global team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the Europe & Africa regions, as required, to meet client needs.
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in additional European or African languages (e.g., French, Arabic, Portuguese) is a significant advantage.
